Head & Neck Cancer Awareness Campaign

The Northern Cancer Alliance, Head and Neck Cancer awareness campaign urges people with unusual mouth or neck symptoms, to visit their doctor, dentist, or pharmacist.

Working alongside a team of behavioural scientists, we devised a traffic light system concept; yellow – self-check, orange – symptomatic, and red – act now. The campaign features humorous animal imagery, juxtaposed with ironic statements to grab attention and encourage conversation.

In a bid to reach its target audience, the initial campaign rollout featured on posters in GP surgeries, pharmacy windows, public toilets, and beer mats. Campaign literature features QR Codes that link to supplementary information and allow the Alliance to monitor engagement.
